NAVBB Blood Drive

Petagogy Cranberry is hosting the North American Veterinary Blood Bank (NVABB) for a by-appointment blood drive on Friday, June 12! Just like humans, dogs can need blood transfusions in cases of diseases like Parvo, poisoning from ingesting something toxic, car accidents, trauma or other life-threatening conditions. With only a few dedicated K9 blood facilities in the U.S., the blood bank is always in demand to help veterinarians all over the country by providing life-saving blood and plasma.
 
Blood donation is quick, easy and painless. To be eligible, dogs must be:

• between 1 year and 7 years old and over 55 lbs in weight
• have a friendly temperament
• be up-to-date on vaccines & on regular heartworm/flea/tick prevention 
• not on medication for chronic illness

In return, donors get the following benefits:

• free annual exam
• free annual bloodwork
• free monthly Simparica Trio
• every donation saves up to four dogs
